Annually, the Hanover Industrial Air Park Business Association organizes a Shrimp & Barbecue Feast/Business Expo for the Air Park community. This is one of the HIAPBA’s biggest fundraisers, and depends largely on the community effort of businesses in the Air Park. Many businesses and individuals donate their time, money, labor and other items to make this event a success each year.
Normally held in October, the Festival is open to anyone who wishes to attend. Tickets are sold in advance and include a variety of entertaining experiences for the participants. Music is featured in addition to classic car displays, mini cars from the Shriner’s, Moon Walk for the kids, Baseball Throw for kids of all ages, all you can eat shrimp & barbecue from Brock’s and a Business Expo under the tent.
The Business Expo is the part of the festival that showcases businesses from the Air Park community and allows a networking opportunity between individuals and businesses in the park. Booth Space is sold for those who wish to showcase their business, as well as sponsorships for those who want to participate with their support, but aren’t under the tent with booth.
Brock’s BBQ has catered the event for the past several years with all you can eat Shrimp & BBQ and golden beverages are included from Budweiser. The Board of Directors and Fall Festival Committee work diligently from February through October planning this annual event so each year, the festival is a success.
From sales of booth space, sponsorships, silent auction items, raffles and ticket sales, money is raised and the proceeds are donated at the HIAPBA Annual Meeting to local service and volunteer organizations.
All fundraisers of the HIAPBA help the local community with ongoing projects and needs.
HIAPBA wants the Air Park Community, both business and individuals, to know how much we appreciate all of your donations with money, items, time, and labor and how much it means to us, and the overall success of this event. Your support directly goes to help the volunteer and service organizations in Hanover County. |
